In this videogame adaptation of the long-running game show, two families of five take up battle. The four or five most popular answers are compiled for each question, devised from a survey of one hundred Americans.

From here two family members step up and the player with the most popular answer has the choice of passing playing for the rest of the answers or passing over the opportunity to the other family. If the family that plays answers all the remaining survey answers, they win the round. However, three wrong-answer "strikes" will allow the opponent family to steal the rounds money in a one question, win or lose situation.

Once three rounds have been played, the team with the highest money count has earned the right to play in the fast money segment in which two family members have to answer five questions within one minute and thirty seconds.

In terms of game execution, players can select family names as well as if they want to play a single-family game or a two-player family game. Players answer questions from a letter or in some cases numbers from a visual keypad with the d-pad being used to move the cursor and the A button as confirm. If players or more fittingly their families taste success, they can then come back the next night until they either lose or win $20,000.

Beam Software also paid special effort on presentation, with a host who introduces both families (complete with cheesy smiles and kisses) and waves goodbye at the end of the night.
