Unlike most shooters of this type, where you simply aim a crosshair and fire, in Cabal you must guide a crosshair while simultaneously maneuvering your character. This control scheme can be awkward and frustrating, especially for the beginner. Another quirk is that the A button is used for two kinds of firepower -- hold it down and you shoot bullets, but tapping it releases grenades. Although there are five different levels, the action is repetitious, and the constant aiming, running and shooting becomes more tedious than intense.
